Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I want to send a file to my memory card, it must first be placed in my incoming messages folder, which is localized in the phone's memory itself.... does this mean any mp3 I want to send to my card must be smaller than the space I have available in my phone's ram memory?! and after that, how can I send the file to my card?! for instance, a video file, playable in real player can only be sent to the card after it's opened in rplayer-> options -> save in memory card, or something like that... must I use a file manager to change it to the card?! hhmmm =\\
...I was sure I was going to find some thread in here that would illuminate me... guess not...
Yes, if you transfer files using 'generic' bluetooth spftware then it will always always end up in the phone's inbox as a message.
But if you use Nokia's own PC Suite then you can transfer any files directly to the card memory. This worked for me transferring a 10Mb video file.
Mind you, getting PC Suite to work can be a problem. Mine was fine for the first week and then for no reason it now wont transfer any files but times out. It's only now I've realised how crap windows is at handing bluetooth !
Best of luck.

yeah. surprise, surprise, I haven't been able to connect my 3650 to any of the ports! I can't do it in my laptop, nor in my PC... the only things that "saves" me are the infra-reds.... unfortunately it takes forever to transfer an mp3 using those... and I've also found that the mp3 sound terrible, so..... 😞 😞 😞
I've had a 7650 for a couple of weeks and managed to connect it to a port, thus being able to use PC suite through BT, as well as the "internet through BT" trick. I can't use any of those anymore... I guess it's not much of a problem, since I can still transfer stuff the "normal" way.... (windows explorer...)
to those interested, conceptronic has released a new version of the bluetooth software.... anyone willing to download the 40 MB and sending me the cd, please be my guest... 😉

You can change the settings of your messages on where it will store the incoming message. Just go to settings/other/memory in use. Change it to MMC. For the mp3's, I don't suggest you beam it directly to your phone coz as what you've said, it saves directly to your inbox. And the phone cannot open mp3's. I have the same problem before. I used a Card Reader/Writer and just dragged the mp3's to the card.
