Hello All,
Im having trouble using web-viewer....... I setup a book mark - (Standard www Address) And all I get is this error message when I select 'GO' and the software closes :
"App. closed [email protected] 3"
Im using Web Viewer V2.0 - On an O2 Tariff ..... I have (as far as Im Aware) all the correct O2 GPRS / WAP Settings - as I'm able to send MMS and view and download from dedicated wap sites.
Any Help would be appreciated.

You need an internet connection - not WAP.
With O2 this is an additional service, you need to phone them and ask for it to be added, GPRS INTERNET.
If you are on TopUp Cards then I think you'll find you may be out of luck and O2 don't offer it anymore 😞

Thnx For the replies.......... Appreciated, However, my wife has got a Nokia 7210 (Also on O2 Contract) If I put my SIM CARD into the 7210 and using web-viewer 2.0 on this phone Im able to access web-sites (Albeit not very well due to the small screen) - Hence why I think there maybe a setting messed-up on my 7650 ?

If u do have GPRS/internet,have u created a new access point? Because u can't use a wap access point to connect to the web.
On the 7650 WV 2.0 asks for a connection point - MMS Or GPRS WAP... although on the 7210 it just connects ?
Whilst on the subject of wap & net things...... using the following wap address (See Below) I am only able to enter the main site through 'CLASSIC VIEW' and not the "COLOUR' Front end..... Although the 7210 and Various other Phones I've tried (3510i 6610) can happily go in through the COLOUR LINK..... perhaps someone with a 7650 would'nt mind typing in the link as a 'BOOK MARK' and see what results they come back with....

You can't use an mms or gprs/wap access point to connect to the web.You must set up a new access point.The settings are the same ones as for pop3 e-mail access.
This is a strange one. I had the same problem when i first got my 7650 on 02 and tried using webviewer and came up with the same error as you.
Posted on forum, tried setting up a new access point using the pop3 settings as someone already said but still same error. This was with software version 3.16.
Now upgraded to 4.39 and it works perfectly fine on an ORDINARY gprs connection like the one i use for wap. So maybe a software upgrade did the trick for me? But noone recommend this upgrade just got it done anyway 😊

Try changing the APN details:
instead of wap.o2.co.uk try mobile.o2.co.uk (username web password web) and for the IP put 0.0.0.0
