hi do any one know if the is software were you transfer avi and quicktime and microsoft video, realplayer video, in to mp4 video clips and do you know were i can down load video clips beside se p800 collection wedsite. thank you people.

1-use virtualdub to convert mpeg files into avi files at 204x172 . This takes only 1 min for a 4 min movie clip
2-use mpegable x4 to convert the avi file into mp4 file, at 1:1 ratio, no downsampling since the avi file is already at 204x172. (takes only 2-3 mins for a 4 min movie clip)
Quicktime Pro works for me
I use Quicktime Pro as well, $25 from apple.com.
Has two useful advantages; you can edit (within limitations), preview, and compile all in one, and it is quite cheap.
Little fiddling with the variables (such as getting the window to be 200 pixels across and setting keyframe down to 15) gives you quite reasonable quality for small size.
I did a 1 minute walk around of my apartment that fits in under 2MB.
