HELP PLEASE!!! Phonebook Error

6 replies · 1,752 views · Started 20 April 2003

Just today, I tried to call someone on my P800, but when I tried to open up my phone book, an error message informed me "Not Enough memory" and closed my program. I have tried turning off my phone, I also tried to close more programs using Switcher. But I have 9 MB on my phone free, and 20 MB on my memory stick free. Can someone please tell me if this is a common error and how to fix it?

THanks

there is a contacts manager on my-symbian that compresses. 😃

I had a same problem, had to format internal memory and to restore contacts from backup...

Normally closing some applications does the job, but there have been comments on damaged/difficult contacts databases in other threads, best do a search for "contacts" on how to restore a backup without the contacts database.

I had this problem in the thread that enterprise points to. Try out the sugggested solution from Tommen - it works for him but not for me for some reason.

I have an outstanding call with SE (who may be able to crack it for me if I send them a back up file).

Good luck 😊
