no im talking about connecting the 3650 to a pc without using USB. It is in theroy possible but does the hardware exist?

Bluetooth on the PC or IrDA is the only way. You cannot connect this phone to the PC with USB

ok, so is there a bluetooth adaptor or infra red adaptor that works 100% with 3650 and doesnt connect to the pc using usb, is there a bluetooth or infra red adaptor that connects to the pc using rs232 or serial?

Most new PC motherboards have an IR port on them, you can pick up an internal IRDA adapter that plugs into this port relatively cheap, I got mine for under �10.

what do the programs that connect the phone to the pc use windows 98 or above Im running windows 95b?

for someone living in UK ur english is very.. odd.

i know there used to be Serial IR ports which used 'tricks' to work with the PC but its a **** load easier just to upgrade to USB. Alot cheaper and easier to use.

As for software; it depends on the drivers. Win2K and XP have a lot better IR drivers than previous Windows incarnations.

Yeah... There's a peripheral available that you just put in your pc (like a CD-ROM) which has USB port in them already... that is, if you have no USB port on your motherboard. Better use USB.
