please help me , what can i do , and the local NOKIA dealer does not accept phones without warranty and i bought mine from england and now i am in lebanon

usually "contact service" is a bad sign -- it means you gotta bring it to a nokia service center...

but nevertheless try removing your battery for more than 30seconds, and put it back -- this might not work -- but tough luck, just try it...

Nokia give a 3 year warranty as standard, so even though you have moved to another country the phone should still be in Nokia's warranty.

Does the 3 year warranty also apply to the 9210? I thought I read somewhere that it was only 12 months.

That I don't know, but I know that 3210, 6210 and 3330 are all covered by 3 year manufacturer's warranty. Hence I assumed that all Nokia products are the same, I see no reason for a shorter warranty on the 9210.

thank you for your replies .
I contacted NOKIA and they said that the 9210 is covered by 12 months warranty , but unfortunately the local NOKIA dealer does not accept devices that were not bought through them . A friend of mine took his 9210 to the dealer for a software upgrade and they charged him 150$ , and i heard that they might charge me 200 or 250 for the " contact service " thing.
so can anyone help me please

hkk,
there is no easy way to fix the 'Contact Service' problem without some service equipment. Your best bet would be to find someone in your country who specialises in fixing Nokias, preferably someone who is familiar with upgrading phone software and removing SP locks.

If you have some electronics experience, you can make a cable that might be able to fix this problem.

And about warranties, some distributors are absolute idiots when it comes to fixing phones not imported by them...they charge high rates and refuse to recognise the warranties.

And why the hell do you people get 3-year warranties in the UK? Not fair! I only get 1 year (on any Nokia phone)!! Damn User posted image

I've ever had the experience like this (the dark screen), just try direct charge 9210 direct from your wall charge and open the cover, the welcome screen will be back. Just try it, good luck
