I have just been to the site Streetmap! to find a map for something, and realised they do a Photograph of some areas.
Looked up my street and they had an Overhead photo of it. After a quick touch up in Photoshop and a 1 line black border, and Hey Presto, I have a very unique wallpaper.
This is one I did for the AAS Pub Meet featuring Weymouth Mews somewhere in the Centre!
How I did it. Cropped to 174x132 the area I wanted. Made Darker (used Variations in Photoshop). Converted to a 256 colour Indexed image. Saved as a Gif!
