Screen lock story...

I've installed Handy Day two days ago, primary because people were fond of the screen locking device while in flip open mode. Anyway so I get into the car, the phone in my pocket and locked through handy day. Drive for half an hour, then I get a call from someone yelling at me for calling his place for the last half hour? I was told that his phone rang, he answered and could hear my car stereo playing. ?! He hung up and right when he hung up it rang again, over and over for quite some period of time

Great Lock eh?...

You should report this to the HandyDay developers so they can fix the problem in future version of the app.
I wonder why no one has developed a simple locking app.

I think the problem is that the area of the screen containing the button used to unlock the phone is the same as the area of screen the confirmation button appears in.

So, if the phone is in your pocket and an object is against this part of the screen, it's going to press the unlock button, and then immeadiately the confirmation button.

However, I believe that UIQ defines by default that dialogue boxes appear at the bottom of the screen and the position of the buttons with this box. So the confirmation button is always going to be in the bottom right corner. It might be better for Handy Day to move the lock\unlock button towards the top of the screen.

I would like to see a configurable unlock, in Handy Day you can use the jog-dial to flip right and click to unlock, but, as noted above, simply "pocket pressure" would acheive the same result which is not as desirable.

Widget I still want to see is a way of toggling the virtual flip without touching the screen. Short of cutting up plastic to make a thumbwheel style switch, I don't see an immediate solution.
