Hi all, im getting my 3650 pritty soon but i wanted to ask whether the lens is protected in any way. i have noticed that the facia does not chance the lens cover. If i place the phone on its back on my desk wont the lens get scratched or am i missing something?

Well,Nokia says that the lense is unscratchable but there was a guy the prooved them wrong.
Search the forum about it.

its not protected but the design of the phone is that its slightly inner (recessed) to the rest of the phone. hard to scratch but if your rough and you have something rough on the table.. its possible!

Yeah - I got a small scratch on my lens - like a little 'dig' in the plastic.
I now keep my phone in my pocket with nothing else in there!!
And always put if 'face down' on the table, if you scratch the screen you can easily replace the faceplace...

Best 😊

😮 :shocked!: i have to say this is VERY worring! I guess i could keep my cloth which came with my glasses in my pocket at the same time. Has anyone invented a facia which covers the lens? Im sure this invention would be a big hit. Does anyone else have any other tips to keep the lens protected? Dont really like the idea of a leather case 😞

I use a pouch for my cellphone. It's a sratch-free pouch... it's nice coz it fits the phone perfectly and it's not bulky.

yeah there are clear covers with a hole/cover for the camera; some cases with an extended battery to flip over the camera, etc..

Are they available already? Coz I also wanna check that out...

hahaha! Those casings might be dangerous coz maybe it has SARS virus on it. 😊 But anyway, can't wait for it.

I stuck a small piece of celluloid (see through tape...) over my lens. If you do it carefully, you can't see it on the pictures. Should keep the lens free from scratches...

i did similar.. i used scotch (non-mark-leaving) tape on the edge of the little flap which covers the camera when you first get it out of box.

Yeah, the lens thing is pretty bad.. gets really dirty quick, and because of the small recess, dust and crap get stuck at the edges, which you have to 'toothpick' out of there.. I'm just waiting for a scratch on the lens cover that will totally ruin it.. I already scratched my screen window somehow (small scratches but they are annoying since the display looks 'b0rked' because of it.)
