This thread included a poll: What kinda ringtones do you go for?

I'm not taking the mick, but at the moment the only ringotne i feel comfortable with my p800 is homer screaming o . Even at the best of times this makes me jump 8) . But i only want a few boring ones, like the high med low tones. I was surprised they didn't come preloaded on the phone anyhows. roll

So please if anyone has any (please remember only bland boring tones may apply), don't hesitate to put them up or send them to me. D

I used converted (mp3 to wav) songs as ring tones in the beginning, which was/is nice, but all those ppl starring...
Well anyway as I'm using the phone for work, and get allot of calls at work, I changed my ring tone to something more serious since co-workers just always had a laugh whenever my phone rang.
At the moment I'm using that old-fashioned ring tone, which is really nice as it does not make you look like a dork when at work, but people still turn as they expect some old phone 😉

Yup, the "Old Fashioned" is the best right now, though I've switched to "Arrow" for SMS because I get so many of the bloody things.
Why do people think SMS is for entire conversations?

I'm swapping building a website for ringtones with a "Recording Artiste" lives in the same block as me. If she comes up with anything good (i.e., polyphonic 3D trimphone), I'll post it.

I have created the four original Ericsson ringtones (Low, Middle, High and Mixed) and you can download them here.
Let me know if you think they are any good 😃 or need changing!

An idea that occurs to me would be to have a little speech processor that calls out the persons name (even the voice tag would be adequate) as part of the ring cycle. Does to it the headset, so why not out the speaker?

Quick alternative is to have a ringtone per-person and embed their name in it.

[fx: reaches for .WAV editor]

It does. Under voice options on preferences, tick "Play caller name".

Obv it only works if you have recorded a tag.

I find this most useful as I have identified the caller before even looking at the phone. Means with magic word on I can accept/reject whilst continuing my work

Gosh, so it does

Not very load though, and only the once, but good enough for me!

Thanks.

I can't give an opinion about your ringtones, because when I try to load the website on my PC it gives me an error message :-?

Delta737: There seems to be some issues with the hosting server for that site at the moment.
I am attempting to get the situation rectified at the moment!

Update: The server now seems to be back up but currently slow!
