T-Mobile Voicemail delay settings?

6 replies · 2,742 views · Started 23 April 2003

Hi all,

Does anybody know if the delay before network voicemail takes a call can be altered by the user entering a command string? There used to be a menu option on older phones to do this but there isn't one on the P800. I have tried the **61 etc code for orange, but this doesn't work with T-mobile UK (or at least I can't get it to work) My objective is to increase the delay to 30 secs if poss. Grateful for any advice.

Kind regards 😃

Have you checked at the Voicemail end -- isn't this a network setting, so the (audio) menu at the voicemail end may have options?

no this should be right.. it should also be a *# type code which the phone uses from a stored definition on the SIM to change the delay.

Similarly, I don't know the one for Voda UK.

Someone must...

T-Mobile in the Netherlands also does not support this option. I wish they would though...

They also don't support cost settings, as you need the PIN2 code and they won't give it... I heard something about supporting in a while, so there is hope...

I've managed to get the correct method of doing this for T-Mobile in the UK but it may work for other networks.

dial the folloing number:

**61*+<YOUR_VOICEMAIN_NUM>**<DELAY_IN_SECS>#

relace <> with the correct info.

Hope it helps,

Jason
