Opera Error

after i've re-install opera, I got following error and cannot start Opera.

Program closed
Reason code KERN-EXEC
Reason number 3

Please help.

Happened twice to me. Normally when I uninstall opera and reinstall it, the problem went away.

It might be because Opera needs to be registered... It would make since if it noticed that a previous copy of Opera was once installed. You need to find ALL files associated with Opera to do a clean un-install.

further to my reply from another thread regarding KERN-EXECs

a KERN-EXEC 3 is an unhandled exception - this could be an internal exception raised by the programmer. Report to Opera.

Although I've un-installed and re-installed, it is still coming back. Anyway, I've that solved using the suggestion from a chinese forum as follows.

1. Un-install Opera
2. Delete all directories and sub-directories with name Opera
3. Re-install Opera
4. Copy C:\system\apps\opera\opera.ini to c:\system\data\opera and make it readonly.

It works for me now.
