Cheers
That's exactly what I've been searching for ages. Thanks.
I have a P802, so does this upgrade suitable for me?
Great work Tissue 😊 for the bluetooth though, discoverable is already on the old versions, it is a necessary tool for bluetooth used when you want you P800 to be discovered by other devices 😊
I like the new screensaver better though. 😛
As to free memory, "Switcher" shows 9360Kb free memory after restarting. When I put in on the cradle free memory decreases to 7916Kb.
You seem to have 900Kb more memory, is it possible that you have only one language pack loaded into the phone memory? I have two.
Bluetooth discoverable mode and European Summertime option had already existed in R1 firmware.
I agree with the rest of your list.
when will T9 be added?
Nobody knows... :-?
What is the Display iMelody types?
😮 :fadein:
iMelody is a type of audio file, e.g Mp3 or Wav. You can set it to show or hide iMelody formats in the option.
Great work tissue! Though its available in my local SE shop, I have been having second thoughts about the upgrade. This will surely help me in my decision 😊
Just got word that there is anUpgrade problem here in the Philippines. They experienced a "Page cannot be displayed" and a "Phone not compatible" error after the upgrade. Someone also succesfully upgraded the phone but CDA disappeared. I also got confirmation that this is the same to all branches of Semicon, including Manila.
Hey muzikfreakah just had my fone upgraded this morning at SE shop in SM West. I was actually haveing second thoughts about it, but since my friend (classmate for 14 yrs) owns the SE shop (he also owns Nokia Care and Siemens shop hehehe) promised that he will back up and restore everything, including all my applications and contacts, I finally consented. Anyway it took him 3 hrs to do it. When i got my fone, everything was just like it was. Even my sms was there! Anyway everything seems to be ok and working well. I checked it immediately after getting it. Maybe its the Semicon branches thats having trouble. A friend had his fone upgraded in SE Makati and seems didnt encounter any problem 😊
Rang Orange UK and they wont support the fone if u get it done

Hey, is this problem also present with phones upgraded by Smartnet too? My phone is with Semicon and has been sitting there for the past 6 days because they said they are having problems with the upgrade and are still trying to "troubleshoot". Since my phone has a Semicon warranty, they told me that by the end of this week, if they could not fix the problem, they will be giving me a new phone but that I have to wait for it for another 2-3 weeks 😮
Fortunately, my brother has a P800 that he is not using for the moment and have loaned me the phone 😉 (I restored all my data without a problem using the back-up utility of the PC suite...am still using the software from the CD that came with the box and have not upgraded to the latest PC software version).
I heard from an acquaintance that he has the latest firmware upgrade done by Smartnet and it is working ok so far. I would like to know if there are others here in Manila who shares my friend's good fortune.
Wow so this is really true.. They are having problems. Well, I guess the best we can do is just wait. Im from Cebu and they told me that they still havent fixed the bug yet. I suggest we all just wait... I dont want to risk my phone..
SE Cyberzone upgrade doesn't seem to have any problem.
I've known people who upgraded at Smartnet Makati. Also didn't hear of any problems.
Must be problem at SEMICON. You don't need to bring your phone to SEMICON to have it upgraded though. No charge in other service centers. Unless you're in Cebu & the only place you can upgrade is Semicon. Then you'll have to wait & make sure that their upgrade is not corrupted.
Is SE Cyber Zone the same company as Semicon?
Sony Ericsson at SM West's Cyberzone is owned by Memo Express (MX). They also have a showroom of Nokia in the same Cyberzone building. A different company from SEMICON.
Hey braindoc and muzik, guess you didnt see my earlier post on this thread. Anyway no problem with SE at SM West and SE Makati. The problem is only with Semicon

Heres my thought.
I believe your friend restored your phone after the software upgrade which is not a wise thing to do. There have been cases where people find problems with their phone after a restore to a new firmware, due to the restore containing old firmware files.
I think there are 2 ways of upgrading the phone.
1. The phone is flashed to null and software is reinstalled with the firmware. -- Full update
2. Only the firmware is installed. Possible 4 files (phone, BT, organizer, CDA) with the additional options/menus. Therefore, this overwrites the exisiting firmware and not touching the OS and the files (e.g contacts) in anyway -- Quick update
Your friend may have used option 2 to update your phone. I might be totally wrong.
