Anyone know what file in P800 is the CDA? — Sony Ericsson P800, P900 and P910

I need the file that is CDA CDA162001 R3A16. I know it can be restored to phone.

This i know becours i lost the firm update on the CDA after i tried to restore my phone..

Restored the phone after update.. and CDA is back to CDA CDA162001 R2A04

The version number is in the file: c:\system\data\cda_version.txt
You can edit it with jText

Ah, is that what happend. The TXT changed, not the firmware? Then i still got latest product, but need edit TXT file.

In the upgrade process with SE, I ldiscovered that the CDA file is no longer on my P800 (unless it is hidden elsewhere on the hp). A check on the system info and I find that the code reference does not appear. What does CDA do for the P800? I mean, what is its function? Have I lost something very important?

I'm not 100% shure, but what i found out thanks to this forum is this. The CDA version is just a file. The CDA software is still ok. All that happend is the cda_version.txt got deleted. This is just a small file. Where it's found.. look over 😊

Something interesting.
According someone this forum said, CDA just a file.
It will lost when format internal disk.

I backup my phone immediately when I brought.
Several weeks later upgrade to R2F (P800C)
Then format internal disk and restore data.
CDA information lost.
I want to find out what's the problem. So restore initial backup
when brought.
But the CDA version still not appear.

Question:
If the CDA version is in a file, why the backup won't keep the file?
very very strange.... 😮

The phone doesnt do a 1:1 backup, just the files thats need

After the upgrade, the CDA was R3A. After I restored my phone, the CDA was back to R1F and I had lost the mp3 player in flip-closed mode (if my phone is set to Dutch)
