Switched from a N7650 to P800 - a few questions

Hi

Have searched the board so apologies if these issues have already been raised (as I am sure they have).

1) Am very used to N7650 and which are the key apps to have, but what are the equivalent for the P800? Presumably some kind of filemanager would be essential (like SeleQ). What other apps (I know there is no video so won't even ask!!)

2) Is the contacts.cdb file from the 7650 compatible with the P800? If not what is the best way of getting the contacts from one device to the other (I don't have PC suite or able to sync via PC)?

Thanks for your help

App-wise, there is a free file manager, and gadgets like "Handy Day", "Handy Safe" etc fill in some of the gaps in the default software. What you regard as critical kinda depends on what you want to do with the phone; I'm sure some would argue that "Doom" is a must 😊

Check the My-Symbian site for a pretty comprehensive list of apps.

Both phones support vCards, so at absolute worst case, you could beam the contacts between the two devices. Depending on the number of contacts, it probably wouldn't actually take that long!

You can actually download the PC-Suite software from the SE site, which would allow you to pick your contacts etc up directly from Outlook (assuming you sync'ed your previous phone!)
