A battery TIP

This may have been said before but i couldnt find it anywhere in the forum.
I did some tests in the last week and noticed the following.

My Settings with both tests
- Screensaver OFF
- Power Save ON

Test 1

Using File Manager or Handy Day, under task list, i had the following open files/programs:
- EiksrvBackdrop
- Application
- Phone
- Beamer

I left the phone overnight unused -- approx 8 hours and noticed a battery drop of 4%. The same test was made on the following day and found a drop of 4%. The next day, the same result.

Test 2

Using File Manager or Handy Day, under task list, i had the following open files/programs:
- EiksrvBackdrop
- Application
- Phone
- Beamer
- Audio
- Contacts
- Messages
- Chess
- Video
- CommuniCam

I left the phone overnight unused -- approx 8 hours and noticed a battery drop of 10%. Same goes with the next 2 days.

Conclusion

Close off all unused programs. Some programs dont have an exit/quit option so you need to force a task kill using File Manager or Handy Day.
There is also the network issue. There might have been a signal drop during the night and the phone is trying to connect and will indeed use up battery life. But during my testing, i dont believe this happened.
I only have 6 additional programs opened and there was a 6% difference, so for those with a mammoth task list, your percentage will be higher (duh!)

Hope this is a tip for some people or rather just bs 😊
I know this is common sense, but hey, i was bored.

cheers

Well done, Tissue, you're spot on. I've been doing the same (closing tasks via file manager) and getting decent battery life out of my puppy now...
