Hi guys, yesterday i downloaded eprofiles pro 1.60 evaluation version from my- symbian's wap page. While everything was fine after a restart of my phone i got a system error message and the app was gone from my phone's menu. While it showed up in my phone's app manager, the .app file was not found using fexplorer. After i deleted the app from my phone's app man, i downloaded it from my-symbian again.During installation i got a full memory message but i can't understand why since fexplorer and taskman show that i have over 2.5 mb free memory.any help? Thanks
Weird problems with eprofiles pro 1.60 and phone's memory!!!
Yes, that's weird. Try downloading directly from www.psiloc.com - I think they have v1.8 now. I don't know if they have a wap page, but if you can get it to your PC, just send it across by infrared (or email it to your phone)
It's a bit unlikely, but it may be down to an incompatibility with other Psiloc products. If the latest version does not install properly (just to be safe, always uninstall from the app manager, and reboot the phone after). Psiloc have a file which appears in the app manager called epsint. You may want to try uninstalling all other psiloc apps, until this file is no longer present (I wouldn't try deleting it yourself), then reinstall the apps. Somehow, somewhere, the phone recognises the registered software and does not tell you it's a trial version etc.

Thanls a lot for your help paul.I deleted every installed psiloc app and every file from psiloc is gone from my phone's app manager as well, except from the apps that i downloaded again but i did not install. After all that mess though, install uninstall etc.i get a system error message after every restart of my phone since yesterday.any help with this problem?thanks again.
hmm - have you installed an app called wildskins? From all accounts, it makes a real mess of the phone. You'd have to reinstall it, DEACTIVATE IT, remove it and reboot (I think, again search threads on this forum). Any other apps installed/uninstalled? Any files deleted manually (not via app manager)?
The definitive solution is to take it to a Nokia Service Centre and get them to upgrade the firmware - they'll do that under guarantee since the phone is malfunctioning (even if it is behaving itself). Check that they can do it "while you wait", it takes about 1 hour.
Then you can reinstall your apps, or restore from your PC

Paul[/quote]Unfortunately wildskins is not the problem in this case.If it was,the solution would have been quite easy.Probably an app that i installed and then uninstalled is causing the problem. And as far as NSCs are concerned,i don't think that they could provide a solution to my problem.I doubt a software upgrade is available in my country and definitely not in my city.A software upgrade could take quite a few time, since they may have to send my phone abroad. An 'as you wait upgrade'is out of the question.I think that i may have to do a hard reset on my phone. Can you,or anyone, tell me of a way to send my apps to my p.c via e-mail,since neither infrared nor bluetooth are available? In any case, thank you very much for your help.
if you install Domi's FileExplorer (excellent, freeware), you can email files to your PC. But the only way to reinstall apps without the original .sis file is via the "restore" of the PCsuite. You could email midi tunes and images to your PC, but not really apps.
It may be easier to buy an IR module for your PC. Or even better a bluetooth module. Neither are too expensive, the IR is actually really cheap.
But it sounds like the easiest way forward will be a hard reset and a manual reconfiguration of the phone (GPRS, email .... 😞 ), then you'd have to re-download the apps from the wap site.
Doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but that's all I can think of :-?

i got the same system error problem. but when i tried to install wildskins and deactivating it, the phone is working again. then unistall that software again.
PAUL: can i unistall a software like camera fx, etc and install it again when i want to? i bought that software and i was just wondering if i installed once more will it recognize my phone or it will install another trial version? Did you get my question? :-?
@girosky, if you hard reset, you'll have to reinstall your apps again: if you restore a backup from PCsuite, you don't need to do anything. In fact, the files will reappear in the folders and order you left them in.
If you reinstall via the sis files after a hard reset, you will generally need to re-enter the product key. But you've probably got a record of the key somewhere... if not, email the app vendor. If the software has been compiled for your IMEI (like LogoMan), just reinstall, it's a full version.
If you just uninstall and reinstall an app, then it's probable the phone will recognise it's already licensed (at least with Psiloc products, other vendors may vary). Lastly, java apps disappear for good, so you'll need to re-enter the product key. Vendors like reqwireless have an automatic key generator on their web.

I'm not sure about camera fx, but most registered programs I've tried uninstalling is recognized as registered once I reinstall. That is for programs with registration codes linked to IMEI.
thanks for your answer paul! 😃
