I've recently got a 7650 and have changed the default lock code of 12345 to something else - that i cant remember. The problem being that I cannot now use another SIM cos is asks for this code! Idiot I know.
Is there an easy way to crack it or will I need to do a hard reset using that code no.
Please help.
Cheers
To hard reset you need the lock code
Looks like a trip to the NSC.

Unless you have a registered version of System tools by PsiNT. I'm not sure if a hard reset clears lock code though
I doesn't, unfortunately 😞

Thanks, I thought so. So a trip to NSC is only solution. So Beware when changing Lock code
Cheers for the help guys!
Im off to the Nokia centre 😞
i don't know if that is what you mean by visiting the nokia center, but you can just get your firmware upgraded, then it dissapears... It kinda takes the whole point about lock-kode away... I've had my phone upgraded 2 times, and i've never shown a single paper on the phone.
I know it sounds self-defeating, but I'm not sure the lock code can be safely changed. I've heard you can change it, but then the phone does not recognise the new one... If you do, try it in the NSC so they can re-flash it.
Also, in the NSC I've been to for a f/w upgrade, they would not attend me without the club nokia card!!

I have changed it couple of times and it worked fine.
If they restore your seting before the flashing the lock code will stay.
Well get a Club Nokia Card, its free.
