Just got my NEW BJC-85 printer, and i'm havin problems printing documents, I print via the infrared port, it send the file over to printer then it just prints out the old letter, I have tried different fonts but it doesn't work for any of them! 😞 😞 :x
What a great B*****d this is :evil: , after spending �200 on the printer the darn thing don't want to print!

Would it make a difference if i've changed the colour of communicator screen and fonts, but usually it should print :roll: :roll: :roll:
Well, I have a 9210 & BJC-80, & I've managed to make it work in the past, so I don't see why it shouldn't be possible, so in the words of the good book: "Don't Panic!".
OK, I'll start under the assumption that the printer at least works with your PC. If you've got an IR-equipped laptop, you could always try it with that too, just to test that the pirnter IR is OK.
Other things you might want to try:
1. Disconnect your printer from any other computers that might be using it (just in case the USB connection nobbles the IR for some reason).
2. Try using Word & a bog-standard default font in black on white first on your Communicator before sending it anything complicated.
3. Try both of the supplied Canon Bubblejet drivers (I can't remember offhand which one worked for me).
If you're still having no joy, let us know, & I'll try to spend a few minutes over the weekend setting up IR printing with mine, & let you know all the settings details.

I have not used it with any other computer yet, it seems to accept the document form 9210i, but doesn't print what i've sent it, ity prints random letters, I have tried all the fonts. 😞
Do you use the IR connection with yours or a wire, I noticed on the back of the printer the connection socket is twice the size of the one which is supplied with the 9210i, would I need to buy a special connector? Do you use the IR or Serial connection when printing from 9210, Can you print different fonts, pictures etc...? :-?
Do I need to install the cannon drivers on 9210i? There is already a setting for Canon BJC series printers. :-?
I will try standard screen settings.

I changed the background colours but it din't make a difference, but the changed fonts to the terminal font where the size is very small and it prints documents but now with random letters of the alphabet on the left hand side! :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: any remedies for this? :roll: :roll:

Well after reading the instruction manual everything worked out fine 😃 , it only works in LJ mode not BJ, prints beautiful, 😃 well worth buying one of these beauties, 😮 😮 but remember to read instructions first instead of ripping it out of the box and using it straight away!

just got my new printer and i have tryed setting it out to print via the infrared port.when print the document nothing happens on the printer but my computer detect the printer very well.can anyone help me with this problem, please.i really want it print via infrared port.
