I have a problem with deleting messages in the outbox of my 7650. The messages did actually send and were recieved at the other end but somehow found themselves in the outbox and i cannot delete them as there is not am option to delete in the options menu. However if i deliberately puu a message in my outbox it can be deleted. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

Can you move it to drafts and then delete it from there perhaps?

No. In the options menu there is only 3 options and they are create message message details and exit

This appears to have been some sort of glitch in the software as all 3 messages went into the outbox on the same day and it has not happened since.

I have the same problem as you. It has been about 6 months since the messages were in the outbox. I did check with my local Nokia Service Centre and they told me only solution was to do a firmware upgrade.

Thanks for that. I have sorted it now but I had to resort to a 'hard reset' by entering *#7370# send then entering myphone lock code.
although I dad backed up my phone on my pc unfortunately the messages in the outbox were also backed up and reappeared on my phone so dad to 'hard reset' it again.

Thanks for the suggestion. But i think I will leave the outbox problem as it is.... till the firmware upgrade is due. 😃

I had the same problem as well. Although not a complete solution, I figured that when I back up my phone using Nokia PC Suite, occasionally all the messages includin the ones stuck in the outbox are deleted from the phone. Hope this helps.

Got the same problem......

Would it be possible to delete those messages manually using a file manager?????? (I think the 7650 uses the c:\system\mail folder to save messages..... but where to find the outgoing messages?????? :-?)

any idea?

No u will only crash the message-app.

better remove the sim and put another in..

Restart your device,and try to delete the message now.

most time it works fine like this...

Well, thanks for the advice but I guess that won't work either, because.....

if you remove the sim and put another in, the message is still there (it's not stored on the sim card, but in the phone)

there is no 'detele' option in the options-menu, just 'create message', 'message details' and 'exit'....
