Hi there - could i just say what a useful resource this place has been for a P800 newbie and also apologise if this has been asked before but i did search and nothing showed up.
I have been using a P800 for a couple of weeks now but am having a couple of problems - although this could be with my laptop and not the phone!!
When i connect the phone (USB) everything syncs fine but the phone does not appear as a device in Windows Explorer - it has done once and i was able to rename all my pictures but since then nothing, and i cannot 'explore' the phone.
If anyone could help i would appreciate it. (Oh and the laptop is running WinXP with SP1)

Have you tried restarting the laptop?
I had this with a laptop running W2K Server, and found after rebooting everything came back fine.
It has been a problem for a few days - laptop has been restarted several times with no joy.
What version of PC suite are you running? I've installed 1.4.2, without installing any other versions and it works a treat with XP.
Thanks for the help folks - the last post propted me to update to the latest version of PC Suite - and this seems to have fixed the problem, thanks.
Now all i need to do is get the bluetooth sorted and 128MB Duo and i really will never get any work done.

Glad to help another P800 owner.....
They say on SE's web site 1.4.2 is intended as an upgrade, but I just installed it as new and haven't had any probs yet - it actually works quite well!

Fyi... my general rule of thumb is ignore anything that SE's support people say, your life will be easier. :agrue:
