Looks like Nokia owners have to shell out 19,95 (or soon 39) for Opera.
SonyEricsson gave Opera to us for free.
Guess who's laughing now? 😊
I get reminded every day how smart a choice it was to go for P800 and not the Nokia alternatives.
SonyEricsson is clearly the company that values its users the most.
Cripes 39 is a lot. I really like Opera (the fit to page feature is superb - it's what makes it usable) but I would be reluctant to pay that much.
Let's hope that they won't wait until we're hooked and then start charging us too - don't feel too smug just yet :-? .
Opera has never been free afaik.. I was surprised, but then as you say.. its possible the upgrades wont be..
There has always been a free adware version.
I suppose it is reasonable to guess that SE did a deal with Opera, but does anyone know whether this is true. If so, thanks SE.
I recall one of the guys from Opera was on here at the time Opera was first released for the P800. He said we had SE to thank for it being free to us, and that it most definitely wasn't free generally.
AFAIK the P800 was meant to have Opera preinstalled, so I guess that's why SE decided to make it a free download.

Great comparison! LOL 😃 😃 😃
You have Opera for free, but you forgot to tell us that P800 owners have to pay much more for their device than Nokia owners. LOL. Guess who's laughing now? 😊
Well true we have to pay more for the P800 coz its a much better device than a nokia! Why the Nokias cant even get near to what the P800 does lol 😊
