please help on dead nokia 7650

hi,,
i bought a 2nd hand nokia 7650 but it doesnt work any more.

what happened was that i took too many pics for the fone to handle. it was running slow and said "memory low delete some data". so i turned it off then on again but that was the end of the fone.

now when i turn the fone on all it says is "nokia" as the start up screen and thats all it does. it just sits there forever. its just frozen.

so i took the fone for repairs "accord customer care" in New Zealand and they tried to reload the software but failed. i paid so much for the fone and now it doesnt work... how sad. currently i dont own a data cable.

does any one know about a memory patch for the 7650?

any help would be appreciated

Hello, I'm also in NZ (auckland).

I did the same thing to my 7650, took my phone into accord (great south rd) and asked them for a firmware upgrade. There is a bug with firmware 3.12 (the original firmware on nz 7650's) which allows the phone to get so full it will not boot.

Accord did a firmware upgrade fine, and phone is going well again (now firmware 4.39).

It sounds like the version 3.12 bug. Find out where your closest Nokia Service centre is and have them upgrade the firmware on the phone. With the later versions it is impossible to use up all the memory on the phone.

cheers bro ive already been there but they tried to reflash but they said they couldnt so ill go back and ask them for a firmware upgrade

but do think a firmware update would still work after trying to reflash it like 4 times?

well i hope it does
heh 😮
