format c: and side affects...

has anyone formated drive c: with R2D installed? i was just wondering if the formating has the same ''side effects'' as in R1D.
When i did it in R1D, i lost the default sounds(they were in the p800 but for some reason i couldn't play them without copying them to the memory stick first), well the cda version etc.

From what I know the same thing still happens, and even worse, the R2A Features might be deleted too, eg. Flip closed audio player etc. Do a search on the forums, I think that there are a few topics about it..

I've already did a format of C: after R2D, and I still can use audio player with flip closed. 😊 BTW, I used the latest version of the SE sync program.

Well I heard from other forums that after they had done a restore and/or reset, they had the features missing afterwards. Well I think that it is ok with some people and not for some. Well, honestly if I were you, I would not go for it...

I've formatted my C: drive previously and lost the CDA version, and can't play the default sounds. :|

well apparently i found a solution to the sound problem...
you just have to go to C:\System\Data and create a folder named DefaultSounds and place in that folder the files alarm.wav notifications.mid semring.mid which u will find in your Z: drive
hope that helps to restore your default sounds back to normal
