help. trying to play mp3 with flip closed?

apparently sony support advise i need a software upgrade to play mp3 with flip closed. anyone else found such an upgrade or does it not exist yet?

You need to get the firmward of your phone upgraded to the latest version (R2D) - lots of discussion about it on this site.

You'll have to take your phone to an SE service centre (or Carphone Warehouse if you're in the UK) to have it done though, I'm afraid. Currently there is no user-installable upgrade path.
