How should I distribute my OPL application?

I've written an OPL Japanese-English dictionary. It is in what I would call
perhaps an Alpha testing stage, however I have been using it for some time, and I find it
very useful. Since there is no such product for Symbian, I want to release the translated .opo file as freeware as well as the necessary fonts/database files etc. The databases are complete with over 100,000 definitions. English->japanese as well as Japanese->english indexed searches work, and it has the ability to look up compounds by kanji in any position. Additionally EUC text files can be browsed.

The dictionary has been invaluable to me (as I'm studying Japanese) however I haven't found any way to distribute the files without setting up a web page. I'm not interested in
creating and hosting a web page right now. Back in the bad old days, before every Tom Dick and Harry had their own web page, I was able to simply upload files to BBS's or Archive FTP sites. But all the sites which host files for Symbian seem to require the author to have a web page.

Does anyone know of a place to make Symbian software available to the public without needing to host your own web site?

Thanks.

One option would be to get yourself a Symbian Diary. No cost in setup, and as long as nothing ridiculuos happens, no transfer costs for the forseeable future. I've done a Vexed Diary so you can see what a single app site might look like.

A Symbian Diary is probably the best way to go for the simple thing you describe, but if you dont want even that much hassle I'm sure Dazler (above) will help help you out in some way or I can just upload the file(s) somewhere on the AAS server and tell you where it is so you can refer people to it.

Sounds like an interesting application.

Indeed, although the Symbain Diaries takes a lot of the work out for you, you still need a little bit of effort to set things up - of course after that it's a walk in the park to maintain... perhaps we should have an 'off the shelf' single application Diary Template we set up for people like DavidZ?
