AAS news bit here:

I'm pleasantly suprised with Opera, but being honest I get most of what I need on WAP while I'm out and about (so that's the BBC, the AAS Forums and my Private Messages, and Jam Reports for the London Underground), so I'mgoing to say the built in Wap Browser.
WebWiever is shit. Cant use mRoute, JS, ISO charset, META REFRESH, ...., .... ,...
it might be shit but it does what it says it will do. If it wasn't for webviewer i wouldn't even be a member or able 2 view the site(as i don't have a p.c)

Webviewer is quite nice, and it was the first browser for Series60,a small revolution i might say, allthough, now,my vote goes to Opera.

If by WebWiever you mean WebViewer, and by mRoute you mean mRouter, you should try again, as it does work with mRouter fine.

This is quite remarkable. I never really believe it is possible that someone is using only the phone to browse the internet. Amazing!

its awesome you are able to use your phone in this way. I wish I could get a browser program on my 3650! 😞 cant as i cant connect it to my pc, hence the only programs i have are downloaded over gprs so have to be small as o2 have a limit of about 350kb.
Ill try webviewer see how big file is now.

hi ghostdog
yeah i can get the program on my phone but no point as it needs mobile internet access point not just wap gprs. Shame as i used webviewer on my 7210 and it worked over gprs wap I wonder why it needs internet access point on the 7650/3650?
any other small internet browsers out there?

I know most of u guys(if not all) must think it's kinda sad that there r people out there without p.c's But try 2 c it from this perspective. Some of us lead extremely busy lives(work & social) so it doesn't make sense 2 have a p.c. Thats why i use webviewer. It's the web on the move. Obviously this restricts my symbian use as i have 2 rely on wap & the kind members of this site 2 download files but i am content with this.

its not sad at all, I have a pc but I cant connect it to my 3650 so in this way I have to do the same as you download over wap -files etc obviously cant have large prgrams etc.
It useful for me too as I will be moving away to do my police training and I will be able to browse the web while away from home.
I certainly want mocking you when I commented on you using webviewer sorry if it came across this way.
😊

It would b gr8 if there was some way 2 address this problem as i sure i'm not the only person in this position. Webviewer was my only option because it's available 4 download via wap. I would love the opera browser if there is any way of getting it without a p.c

I never even thought that u were putting it that way. I'm just blowing off steam because i know what i'm missing. Sorry if i seemed 2 be having a go.

I was thinking the same thing. The only way round it I have thought of is by taking your phone to a mates house with a pc or sending your memory card to someone who can load stuff on.
I ve made my own wav ringing tones up posted them onto the net via my pc then downlaoded over wap gprs keeping them under 300KB
This is going to become expensive when I have to pay for gprs.
if you have any small files you want posting onto the net I could post some for you to download.

im using doris browser.... and i have a problem...
when i open a site which has pop ups.... doris browser opens the pop up window and hides the site that i wanna see...
does anyone know how do i close the pop up n continue viewing the original page? or is there a way to switch between windows? i mean.. between websites?
