That Offensive Microsoft Advert

The Microsoft Ex-Box that shows someone being born and ageing while flying through the sky has been banned because it's deemed as offensive.

I know that this is old news, but it's a subject that has come up again in conversation and I was wondering what you thought.

I didn't think it was offensive or disturbing (and I'm a regular churchie-type User posted image ).

In fact, I think that the advert accurately illustrated the way that the Ex-Box was buried by the market when it seemed like it it had only just been launched User posted image[ This Message was edited by TANKERx on 2002-06-19 1924 ]

What's offensive? User posted image They exaggerated the feeling that some of us have about how fast life can pass you by. If it makes somebody realise there is a lot to do and a relatively short time to do it (have you seen the state of the World at present?) then so much the better.
That reminds me, I need to go to Iceland this year!!

This commercial was ran here and all the people I've talked about it have liked it too. It's fast-paced and there's a good "point" - "don't let your life pass by without enjoyng every second of it".

Xbox hasn't, however, sold very well here either. 😊 I got one, but I've thought about selling it and getting Nintendo's GameCube instead. There are too few Xbox games that I really like and most of them are the same you can get for the PC.
