Tracker Suggestions:

1.) If only you could have the option of using bigger Icons for the aps, a size that will fit your finger to click on them.(eg. a big calculator ap would allow me to access it more quickly without using the stylus coz I use the calc a lot)

2.)Instead of pages, they could use Categories instead which will allow you to categorize all the applications. Right now I have a lot of aps in there but you have to squinch to find the right ap 😞 Categories will help us comprehend more.

3.) Auto adjust the pics the we set as backgrounds we we can use the pics the we have taken with our cameras.

4.) Use animated GIFs as background of the screenlock mode.

5.) Add the bluetooth/IR shortcut Icon to the bottom(Currently in 1.01 you can access it by clicking desk>shortcuts.

Another idea would be:

When you customize Favourites, a drag and drop to move them around.
I seem to be changed my icons around abit, and its a pain to have to add it then remove the old one!

And maybe an option not to lock the screen if its in the cradle!

virtual flip up on one of the system keys would be good - it's a pain to keep hitting the little icon.

also a memory usage icon would be nice (something like the processor usage when you minimize Windows Task Manager)

The Virtual Flip Icon is just at the bottom and I dont think the size is any bigger than any of the system keys 😊 This one is fine with me.

As for the memory status try clicking on the time or the date it will change .

See below:

you still can't activate the virtual flip one handed. very useful if you are walking along the street and wanna make a call.

Where do you want it to be placed? 😊 I find this location alright and can access it with one hand already but if they can make the ap icons bigger then it would be better 😊

I think what Cardinal means is being able to activate the virtual flip without hitting the screen at all - i.e. using one of the blue button/cam button/jog dial.. Right Cardinal?

I just installed the latest version of Tracker, and if you lock the phone, and then single tap the lock screen down in the bottom right hand corner (where the "Unlock" button appears), it still unlocks the phone 😞 I think a system of "tap -> do you want to unlock? -> tap yes -> confirm -> tap yes" would be nice, at least as an option, for those of us who carry the phone in our pockets.. (the screen tends to get randomly tapped all over the shop)..

spot on aaronjb. They've gone as far as allocating buttons to do almost anything with Tracker, actviating the v-flip would be a logical enhancement

If someone e-mails SymbianWare with your sugestions, they might even do something about it 😃

That was my only concern left unadressed in version 1.01...I assigned the lock to blue button (so that I can immediately lock the pone before putting in my pocket) and if the unlock process is solved, this would be my golden app...

PS: The lock option in the first release was unbreakable, so it caused problems (like putting you to a dead-end in a missed call situation) The second release is just the opposite...The lock mode is too fragile...It is disabled even when the phone enters the power saving mode (which I think everyone is using) I think this mode should be more "selective"...

Sorry I didnt get it the first time  😊

Yes this would definitely be a good feature! 😊

I agree about the size of the icons, although I space mine out a lot more than the person who attached their screenshot - that makes it easier for neanderthals like me with fat fingers.

If it's possible to setup tracker so that it auto-starts when the phone is turned on? i'd prefer to have that as my main GUI for the phone rather than using the virtual flip or having the applications displayed.

Not on my version it doesn't. I have to go into application-->Tracker to start it whenever the phone is turned on, is there any kind of system/startup folder for the P800 when you can move a tracker file into so that it starts up automatically?

It's also a shame that you can't have an icon for it at the top of the display instead of those other virtually useless icons provided. It must be possible somehow as i've got an icon for Opera there when Opera was installed after the phone was purchased.

You can change those icons easily;

Go to the Applications page, Select the View menu, then Preferences, and you can change any of the top row of icons..

HTH.
Aaron

You can also assign tracker to the bluebutton or camera button for instant access! 😊

Did that Muzic, I guess I was just hoping that it wouldn't be too hard to have it auto-start...obviously it is 😊) I still like the app though.

Chris, you've probably seen the x-men ones on this thread.

There are a couple of backgrounds the correct size for tracker half way down the thread, you just need to rotate them anti-clockwise 90 degrees and save them before sticking them on the phone, they look pretty cool.

 just wondering if tracker are able to implement security features for it lock mode maybe a passwd protected screen saver? etc......so that if ever the phone is stolen, no one can use it..but one thing though....the phone battery can always be open inorder to reset the phone...hey how about a security feature upon start up of the P800...hmm..any S.E developer out there can take notice... 😉

This function does exist. Im surprised that not many know about it. Go to Phone>Preferences>Locks

You can set up your device lock and sim card lock.

😃 ...thanks muzikfreakah.... but can you tell me what is the old code?...really appreciate your help bro... 😉

The default screen (device) lock code is 0000.

The default SIM code is network specific, so you'll need to contact your provider on that one, unless someone here happens to know it off hand.

I dont know if I changed it before and just forgot or the code is just different for me 😞 So as of the moment, I dont use device lock...
