Reqwireless have released v3 of Webviewer. Note it now caters for https pages, amongst other things (history, cache, bookmark folders):
Browsing of HTML content
Graphics, including GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and BMP formats
Bookmarks and folders
History
Configurable cache
Cookies
Forms
Security via HTTPS (if supported by the device), basic authentication
HTTP, HTTPS, mailto, FTP, and gopher URLs
Viewing of Microsoft Word, ZIP and Adobe PDF documents
Viewing of images at their full size or scaled to fit the device's screen width
Easy to use with no horizontal scrolling required
It also loads faster than the previous version. Also, with the previous version, I could not view some pages, now I can access them. 😃 😃 Now that it handles https pages, it does everything I need a browser for!
(in 46kb)

Actually, just tried to access a https url - webviewer says this is not supported by the device. Anybody got another angle on this (eg in Doris?)?

Paul[/quote] Yep,Doris can access certain https urls, but not others. It seems that you can't ask too much from browsers like doris or webviewer. They are just for the basics.
hmm, I recall a post mentioning accessing online banking (probably via Opera), this is precisely what I wanted to do, but I was surprised by the idea that the device could not handle it 😮

anyway, having played with it a bit now, I've got to say it's a big improvement on the previous version. @gr you're right, by definition you cannot expect the world from the 7650, but for basic browsing, Webviewer suits me!
