Changing the icons ?

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the icons for the programs? When using tracker it is frustrating that so many programs uses the same type of icon.
Apart from that I think that "tracker" is the best program so far.

But tracker has its own Icon different from all the others. Filemanager on the other hand doesnt, it uses the stamdard diamond shape icon.

Yes, but FileManager, Sal and miniGPS have all the same.
Nice layout you have there by the way.
How do you get the memory symbols there? I have version 1.0
😮

Just click on the top where the date/time is and it will change the display to mem.

Great! Thanks.
How do I get rid of the dotte squares?
And finally: How do you get a lighter background where the icons are?

The lighter backdrop is part of the background pic and not an option.
To get rid of the grid lines you will need version 1.01.
Its a whole bunch of other features as well.

Posted some backgrounds here just in case:

Kayonlord just about answered everything else 😊
The newer version is better. It will allow youto get rid of the boxes.

Going back to the original question. The Icons for applications are compiled into the app (same as windows). If we compare with windows....

Windows has two concepts
1 short cut which you can change the icon for
2 multiple icons compiled into the app

AFAIK Symbian only allows one icon per app and utilities such as QFILEMAN have not redesigned this from the standard diamond (you see a similar idea within Windows with a standard windows icon). QFILEMAN is an app which is mainly aimed at Symbian developers enabling them to see the file system and so Symbian did not change the icon as it was not meant to be used on a released device. Most commercial apps will change the icon to something more appropriate.

In desk view:

Look & feel settings

And there you will find a show grid lines on desk tick box!

@Christer

FileManager, Sal and miniGPS have all the same

Download the newest version of miniGPS - it has a distinct icon, in addition to being considerably more robust.
