hey guys,

Is it just my network or is it that in general gprs speeds are slow cos for me to download a 1MB fle takes around 20-30 minutes. Is it the same for u guys too???

Please post ur gprs bandwidths and also how much time it takes on average to download a 1MB file.

Thanx.

GPRS isn't measured in bandwidth as such, it's dependent on local cell use - i.e. the fewer mobile phone users in your immediate area, the more space available to transfer data and the faster the files are transfered.
Having said that, your quoted speeds are very slow, bordering on 9600kbps, which standard low speed data. Are you sure you have it set to GPRS? Even in an office in the middle of London you should get better than that. 😮

I think it's your network. 100KB last about 15-20 seconds for downloading on my P800...

Is it possible to measure the GPRS speed in terms of kbps on the P800? Just wondering.................
