Hi guys,
Just thought u might like 2 know this.
My girlfriend recently bought herself a Sharp GX-10, but when she saw what i was doing with my 7650 and all the cool stuff i'd downloaded, plus the fact i could use Bluetooth 2 transfer everything across, unlike the BT'less Sharp, she decided 2 go and change it 4 a 7650 (sensible girl).
Anyway, she came home 2nite, and i checked the handset over and checked the firmware. Surprisingly, it's still got v3.12....i couldn't believe it. After the problems i had with v3.12 and all the reports on here, i told her 2 go get it flashed, only 2 find that my local NSC has now stopped being an NSC. The nearest 1 is now 20 miles or more away.
Surely Nokia should b selling new handsets with the latest firmware, not only so that users don't have 2 take it back once it's crashed, but surely it would save them a lot of time and money ?
So come on Nokia, sort it out !!
1 other thing.....Club Nokia told me that the dusty screen issue is not covered by the warranty, even tho' they cleaned mine out a few months back when mine crashed due 2 v3.12 ! Surely the fact that dust gets under the screen is a major design fault, therefore should b covered by the warranty ?
Again, sort it Nokia !!!
There, feel better after that rant
Rob.
P.S My girlfriend has just told me that her 7650 just crashed whilst trying 2 download a game.....v3.12 strikes again, and the phone is only a few hours old !!!!!
