also can the communicators take more memory? Whats the max? What format card does it take? How long does the battery last on average? What is the avaiability of applications and games (if any) like?

the 9210i is way better than the 9210.

More memory!

Works way faster and because of the more memory you can have all the basic apps on c:

Certainly worth an update!

The communicators can have MMC cards up to 128mb.

When using a 9210i you could install all basic apps on your internal drive and have an MMC for music, one for games and one for video ...

The 9210 doesn't have enough internal memory so it's not as easy to switch memory cards if you ned some apps at the same time ...

For games check our reviews: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/software/reviews/index.php?c=Games&d=92x0

I agree with the comments above that the 9210i is better than the 9210.

Internal memory is fixed and can't be changed, but the 9210i has more than the 9210. I believe that the 9210i has a faster processor - my experience with performance supports that.

Battery endurance is surprisingly good. Life appears broadly similar to a normal mobile - i.e. the phone seems to relatively use a lot mor
e juice than the PDA. If you use the 9210i continuously with the LAM-1 GPS Module attached and the screen at max brightness you get about 5 hours, but that is pretty heavy use.

There are a bunch of apps written - check out the software section of this site. The utility apps cover everything I need but I don't use the games much. My impression is that the games are the weaker side, but the gamers might disagree.

thats a bit of a stupid question isn't it!

It just like asking is the 9110 better than the 9210i! Of course its not because its older! DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
