Right this is making my head hurt!
If you write word that ends in an L then make a space it gets changed to a T if you dont wait a second or 2.
Is there another way to write a L that will not do this?

what I do is....
1st make an "L", then make a "dash", then remove the dash, then finally make a "space".
I know it's a pain, but atleast it's faster than waiting for a pause before making the "space" stroke. If anyone has a better idea????
Use the 'curly' L; if you look in the help on the phone, it shows three forms of L, and it is the one where you start at the bottom left, and do a high loop finishing lower right.
You can write a space immediately afterwards with no problems.
Pain if you are used to the Graffiti stroke, but I am learning slowly... 😃
That works. Good. Any tips for writing : in a message? Be arsed if I can get it to work.
Also if you wite the l the do the space but do it at the very bottom of the screen or under wher you wrote the l, it also works

This is the best way 😊
doing the l at one side and the - at the other seems to work. for an : do an upstroke in the top half of the screen then two dots, make sure not lines or youll get = do the same for most symbols
Drag the stylus up the screen, then do your two dots in the "numbers" top half of the screen
Sorry Sidneylopsides - obviously hadn't woken up properly when I missed the fact that u'd just answered the : question!!!
How about I share a text entry hint to make up for it..
If you want to temporarily use a foreign keyboard in an email for example but don't want the permanent change u get in Control panel, Text input (Alternative tab), then on the top left hand side of the virtual keyboard is a little down arrow for Cut Copy Paste, but it also has a Setup option enabling u to do this. Once 'Done', the next time u pull up the virtual keyboard it will have reverted to your default setup.

The secret is make the space at the right side of the screen and make sure to make your L at the left side 😊

It works. Finally! Thank you. If I can get the hang of the handwriting then the P800 will become the main phone, its the only thing holding me back ,I use my phone for MMS, SMS, Email, the whole messaging deal and the lack of decent text entry was naffing me off big time. Thanks again.

Another useful tip. I have a lot of family in Italy and being able to write a proper accented e is a big help. Again nice one.
