Downloaded ringtones are too quiet........

Hello...

I have downloaded a few ringtones. They all get default saved to c:\Nokia\Sounds\Digital\. When I preview downloaded ringtones, they are nice and equally loud to the default ringtones. Setting is to the loudest position. But when I choose a downloaded ringtone and have it set to default, and get an incoming call, the ringtone is now half of what it was when i previewed it. Ringer volume is still all the way up but half the volume.

I have created som .mid files and made them very loud for testing purposes and get the same results. This is not an issue of "you downloaded a quiet ringtone"

Thanks

I agree. I use Ringtone studio to increase the volume with 200%

Well i'm the guest that posted this, and after much messing around, making .mid files louder etc. etc. I found someone who said try the outdoor profile.

BOOM.... it's much louder, and it has vibrate.

Sooooo.... I turn off vibrate on outdoor, and there it goes quiet again.

Mind you this only happens with ringtones I have installed. Having the vibrate on or off does not effect ringtones that came with the phone.

Conclusion: For some reason not known to me, in order for downloaded ringtones to be loud you must have vibrate on.

Wondering if where they are saved has any bearing on this.

Please chime in those in the know.
