Help,

Ok I have standard problem with notebook with no serial or IRDA and only XP and a 9210.

I am not a PC whizz I struggle. I have bought both the USB to Serial and USB IRDA, I also have the latest PC suite installed and withit the IRDA program too.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP....

Q. What am I to do in the Bios making it so that the IRDA is from Com 4?

I cannot find IRDA in the bios at all whilst my notebook has no Com ports so canot find the setting for this either... Is there any easier way or a really easy step by step fom anyone please!!! I have the hardware NOT the knowledge!

My notebook is a 2003 Toshiba Satellite missing essential Serial or IRDA, very poor, I must get it too work, help.

Thanks, Dan

Get used with it. For me it did not work with Cable and USB to serial Adaptor, and neighter with USB IR Adapter.

Is the XP that sucks.

So, this is it....

If you have USB port, you can get MMC reader. Tha will solve all your file transfer problems, but it won't allow synchronisation between 9210 and Outlook.

Yehhh I need to Sync my conbtacts for work, recruitment of people hence 3,000+

File transfere I already do by this method!

I need the whole operation to work.

With my PC adding an extra 50 contacts a week takes only 15 mins but 4 hours from scratch new Sync!!!

I know the 9210's faults but I need to get it to work with XP and IRDA or USB to Serial adapter quick!

Xp with cable shouldn't be any problems.
But with an IR it's almost impossible.

You can try by installing the latest XP service packs and by using the latest pc suite application.

I can connect to my GF's laptop XP 1 out of 10 using ir
