can u help me out pls. i was backing up my contacts.cdb and it always prompts me "PC Suite was unable to copy Contacts.cdb because the file is either in use or read-only" 😞 i even tried shutting down the contacts from the communicator but still the same problem... 😞
Are you backing up to MMC or PC?
When in contacts, try <Shift><Ctrl><Chr>K
Anther alternative is to back up to whole communicator drive to MMC card from within File manager. Use menu, memory card, backup to memory card. I recommend this option. You can then copy contacts individually (or everything) to the PC. I also recommend a MMC reader for transferring files to the PC - it is much quicker and more reliable than using PC Suite.
Finally, depending how many contacts you have, you can create a sub-directory from within Contacts called say Contacts1. this will be created on the MMC card. By using Ctrl A, select all your contacts and then file, more options, copy to....Contacts 1 ca then be backed up as normal
