Help me please! I keep getting the above message when i try to write a new message or open received messages. Any ideas anyone. Incidently im using wap at the moment so gets a bit expensive searching the forum so i agologise in advance if the topic has already been posted.

I once got that error when I deleted the C:\Mail folder.
To solve it I had to hard reset, do it by typing *#7370# in standby mode.+

Anyway, before doing that check all the setup, ok? If that doens't work let's try some hard resetting 😃

Ok thanls for that t looks like its goin to have to be a hard reset then! The only thing of importance on my phone is 3 games in the applications which i have just purchased and reluctant to lose can they be backed up and then reinstalled and hows it done?.., in plain english please cos i aint exactly computer literate!

Go get FXplore (a free file explorer for 7650). Then go to the C:\System\Mdip\ folder and search for the three .jar files, then send you to your PC via bluetooth or irDA. Those are the instalation files (as well as the game itself).

once you've hard reset, send them back to the phone and reinstall. PM me if you need help. 😃

I had exactly the same error as you, firmware 3.12. Took the phone into a NSC and they told me they would have to replace the whole phone - voila brand new 7650!

It may have been a case of needing a hard reset... but I'll never know..

WOW! How Lucky!!!

Many thanks for that Deathmonger i did have fxplorer on my phone but deleteted it thinking that may have been what was causing the problem. <probably was indirectly because thats probably how i deleted the file in the first place> i will reinstall it and do what you suggest. Once again many thanks. And thanks to everyone else i must admit i like the idea of getting a new phone!
