If you want your screen light on forever you have to dload a program: "torch"
Is it available for free? Where?
I don't recommend torch... unless you want your phone to have a light that is always on but no text 😊 It works like a flashlight.
Hmmm... I can't remember what program I installed which has an option about the backlight :x grrr! eProfiles? Will get back at ya if I can figure it out.

Ok thanks! 😊 I was trying to figure what app it was... don't have my phone now coz have it flashed. Anyway, to the poster of the thread, eProfiles is not a freeware.
cool but wouldnt this program mess up the screen
Torch is Ok, it can run in the background.
Remember, Symbian is a multitasking OS?
I don't think thatt would be of any use, what's more, it would take a lot more battery lifetime. IMHO, is not worthy. 😞

Anyway, yeah, it drains batteries fast. And I'm not sure about the screen...
