How to upgrade phones

I have a 7650 on contract with optus (Australia) for about 5 months now, and i was wondering if i could upgrade to a Ericsson P800. Will it cost me anything, can i do it ?

im pretty sure they'd charge for 2 reasons :

1. ending your contract early (its usually x � per month you break it here on Orange anyway)
2. the p800 is a more expensive fone than the 7650 by a long way

but as above, best to ask, but i dont think its gonna be cheap. if it is cheap, im moving to aussie!
