GPRS with Vodafone in the UK?

Yeah, sort of,

I was on VF Anytime 100 @ 22.99 pm. I rang up (singlepoint) and asked to be put on a GPRS plan. They said they'd have to switch me over to a 'new computer system' with a new tariff and a new account. I thought 'Oh Yeah, gonna screw me'. Anyway the new tariff (still 100 minutes any network) is 2 pm cheaper. I don't think there's any included data.

They said it would take 7 - 10 days for it to come into effect (God knows why?). Should be available in 5-8 days.

I think the Vodafone site has a GPRS tariff list.

Good stuff - I'm with Singlepoint too - have been for five years almost!

They've generally been okay, although they have tried to sign me up to a rip off tarrif or two. I actually threatened to leave them about a year and a half ago because I ordered a 6210 which got lost by the courier - Singlepoint still charged me the 100 for the phone and then took two months to refund me. 😮

When I threatened to leave I got this call from the "customer retention department" and they gave me this BS about the "new computer system" and how it had caused the delay.

To their credit the gave me a 6210 for free to make up for it, but when I upgraded to the 3650 last week the guy failed to point out that the GPRS was inactive by default.

Be a top man and let me know what they hit you with when it all comes through 😊

I'm on Vodafone Anytime200 which I got through Carphone Warehouse, they have confirmed I will be be charged 0.235pence per kilobyte.
