hey If i copy my friends back up on my phone will everything work fine then??
coz i didnt make any back up of my phone :P
then do u guys think everything will be fine?
forgot to log in 😮ops:
so u think that might work?
The formatting issues that I had were usually fixed with the restore.. But why in the world would u format and not perform a backup first. If you formatted because you had issues with your phone chances are the issues may still be there even after formatting. Crap phone will equal crap phone before or after format.
I get what your saying
yea i know it......stupid of me not to make a backup
but ill make a backup of a friends phone and then use that back up on my phone
Cant u get into the apps menu either and just do a system reset u might loose some stuff like contacts and so fort but atleast ur phone will be up and running again?
Using a backup from someone else may work with only one exception. I noticed that the unit matches system information that pertains to your phone specifically. I had issues restoring my phone after I had a R2D upgrade. For some reason the restore progress failed at a certain stage of the transfer (@ about 92-99%). I understood that to mean that there must of been some software that I installed that grabbed my system info. Once the software was transfered into a phone with different sys info it would crash because it couldn't make a match. With that said I am assuming you will run into the same issue I did if you intend to use your buddy's restore file. The software release I had couldn't let one backup certain areas of the phone. I just downloaded the upgrade the P800 progie and hopefully that's something SE added. Try anyway, but my guess is it may fail at some point of the transfer.
