Psiloc's miniGPS software
http://www.psiloc.com/?id=prod&nrp=44
looks fantastically useful. At the moment (as far as I understand it) the software can only give a cell number, not any useful location information. BUT it has the ability to import cell data from a CSV file

So, what I'm suggesting is that if everybody who uses this software uploads their CSV data file with useful location information it would be possible to turn this into a fairly useful GPS.

Or, even better if someone from the networks could provide cell location data 😉

Would it work or would the CSV file be too large? what do people think?

i use it to, and put some location in it, like home, and work, and train station, its sound pretty useless, because, u know where u are 😊 , BUT, u can add actions to the cellid's, so when i reach the cellid that where my home is in, your able to let your phone play a sound or something 😊

how do you get your cellids in a cvxxx file?

i only see how to send a cellid to a bleutooth or irda device.. not the whole list at once.

and i think a list of all the cells in the world, or even in my country (netherlands) is to big, every network provider uses his own id's.
