In constantly changing my values for real producer and helix ive tried to find a combination that lets me watch an action movie on my phone without it looking liek total crap. I thought the quality was pretty poor. Then I saw the matrix reloaded trailer posted on this site. It looked so good on my phone for the fps that I must know how it was done. So, the question im asking is what is the best combo of values for encoding the real media format. Thanks
The Best Encoding Settings for Rm
Video:
80 kbs
Smooth motion
20 fps
Audio:
8 kbs Music
Size 176x144
2-pass encoding
high quality resize.
I also crop widescreen to fit the full screen..
Best 😊

I tried 100 kbps and it worked on the phone to my surprise. Also how do you go about cropping it? Every time i try i only see a black screen and cant advance to a high res screen so i can get the borders.
The best settings for RM is here. That black screen is because your setup is very hard for phone.

not that black screen i see video fine. Im talkign about when i crop the video in helix u cant see the video and have no idea how much to crop i was asking how does he know or what does he use.
Simple..
Open the video in another player, play it till you see the picture, then line it up next to the preview one in Helix and you can workout by eye where you need to crop 😊
I'm surprised 100kbs works as that is really to much for the processor to handle according to the RealOne official specs for encoding!
Best 😊

i cant change
Video:
80 kbs
Smooth motion
20 fps
Audio:
8 kbs Music
aorry but if someone help me hwhere is this menus in real producer 8
thanks
I used to set the video at 100 kbs and it runs nice
but little slow down so im trying 80 kbs will that work perfectly fine??
now i did but now the files is very big whith this.
one with 9 Mb go to 3 Mb
what im doing wrong please help me :-? 😞 😞 😮
thanks
I was as surprised as you are. I actually hit it because in real producer it said dual isdn. So i went and hit 100kb but never changed it to 80. To my surprise the video was brilliant with virtually no slowdown. It was like I was watching my movie on an older laptop! 😞 I cant believe im using that as a positive reference. The movie is the matrix btw and if I figure out how to cut a piece off it, ill post the lobby scene so you guys can see it for yourselves on your phones. I think it has to do with helix editor. Ill figure it out. Whoever suggested 20fps thank you SO much. Its so perfect. Till next time...
i just tried a video with 20fps and its excellent
runs very smooth
hi.. im just wondering...
i just encodded a video.. but what i finally got is an 8 mb file... unlike all the vids that u all made.. only about 1 mb....
how do u guys do that?
by the way.. my original file is 54mb
i agree ever i try do rm file stay so big if put low bit rate i can do but quality is worst
Dont look at the size of the video. Look at the length. They all come out the same size if they are the same length. For example, I had the matrix on avi and it was 90 mb where as reloaded was 2.3 gigs. Both were similar sizes because the length was almost the same. That should clear some of that up.
Hi...
Does anyone manage to create any .rm video file through Helix Producer Basic(free version) for LINUX platform...
Is this version gives the ability to create content(video files) that can play to the real phone 7650..or needed to buy the plus version..
Could anyone give me some directions is doing that..?
(command with parameters... producer....)
Thanks in advance!!

I'm not sure you need to do what Will suggested with a separate window playing it. I haven't actually tried it, but there is a tab called video filters and if you open that it shows you a still of the movie with cropping options. But like I say I haven't tried it yet.

I've just got hold of HP Plus so have only been messing for a few days. But these settings give me around 5 minutes of movie for 3Mb (36Mb per hour) which may be quite high but I like the quality:
Audio Mode: Music
Video Mode: Normal Motion Video
Real 8 Codec (or the phone will not read it)
Size: 176x144
2-pass normally off (for speed)
Maintain ratio/High quality resize/High Quality audio resampling
Then I created a new audience template called 3650 with these settings:
For A/V encoding:
Constant bit rate: 80Kbps
Frames: 12 fps (This equates to roughly every other frame of video)
Voice codec: 16Kbps voice (G2, RA8)
Music: 16Kbps
For audio only encoding:
Not used as yet!

Just read that frame rate does not affect file size! If that's true then what am I doing down at 12fps???? Let's twist that dial up to 20! 😊
cheers dude for the settings they worked like a charm!

Well, lucky you. What do all the other loosers do who can't get Real Producer 10 Plus?
