Have installed it over my version and it has cured the backup problems I was having regarding Agenda.

Man you guys are good, I cant even find this on the SE site yet! What are the new functions?
Mostly bugfixes thats it havent seen anything new yet guess SE cant get theire act to gether and suply us with some decent Suite

OK I have it installed now 😊 Havent really experienced anyting significant yet 😞 Except quicker detection of phone when pulling it off and putting it on the cradle
I got that progie from the SE site last week. I assumed everyone knew about it. It was brought to my attention when I called SE from something else and the rep said are you using the "new" software. I didn't understand what he meant until he walked me through the site and I downloaded it. I never experienced issues with the first one with the exception of restore issues after upgrading firmware.
funny thing is I cant find it on SE now 😞 So much thanks for the link above 😊
i downloaded it & installed it over the older version. had to restart the computer to make it work.
1. its very fast in backing up & restoring.
2. for some reason the sync is not working. will try again & let you know.
one more thing. when i open the backup/restore & clcik on ABOUT...the software version it shows if 1.7.2.1
????
im a little confused now? 1.4 or 1.5 or 1.7? i think i have i.7.
its definately very very fast.
It does the same with 1.4.1 when u start it it says 1.7 something little weird he

The 1.5.1 relates to the version of the PC Suite, which is a collection of the needed programs. Ther eis no 'about' for the PC suite as far as I know.
DO yuo guys know if you need to uninstall the previous version before installing the new one? thanks
That 1.5.1 relates to the suite i think most of us already knew but the fact is when u start up the backup and restore in the startupscreen it says 1.7 something depandig on what version u have ??

Well it's quite easy to find actually...
1. Go to www.sonyericsson.com
2. Click on Global Support Area
3. Fill in "P800" in the new pop-up window, and press Enter/Return
4. Click on Synchronization, and there they are!!!
Muzikfreakah, now you can check for yourself if there are new versions, and report us about it 😃 😃

I did that yesterday delta but the version there was still 1.4 so I just clicked on the link provided in this thread 😊
But I checked it again now and here it is:
