j2k edit: Changed link to official Symbianware one, the site you posted contains warez as well as information on Skin Editor.

Well, the original background is white, you can use a white background is sLauncher 😃 But if you want to keep the original UI,with tha same signal bar,the little menu icon in the corner, then, with sLaucher, you cant. You can do that with icon changer when its released.

Do you mean you want a plain background or the "standard" GUI? For the former, you can create your own skin. For the latter, I believe it is not possible in sLauncher.

You have to options,sLauncher or wait for the release of j2k's icon changer. When you have either of them, changing the icons is really not a problem.

Maybe I'm thick, but I've got the Smart Launcher app. on the phone and I can set up different skins. However, I don't see any way of actually switching the skin on. i.e. I can create a "test" skin but how can I actually get the phone to use/display the "test" skin?

I'm looking for something like "activate" in the options but I don't see it.

You can create skins in Skin Editor, when the skin is created and saved, you can choose it in sLauncher.Make sure that the task manager in sLuncher is on,so that when you press the menu key you'll get sLauncher's menu instead of the regular menu.
