Am i right in believing that GPRS is only charged for the data you RECIEVE? and NOT SEND? because I run an FTP and i've just got hold of YFTP, and i was thinking, couldn't i send like photos and upload them to my FTP for free to clear up memory on my phone when necessary? (not sending via MMS but via GPRS)
T-Mobile GPRS (UK)
Hi.
GPRS DATA on T-Mobile you pay for what you send & receive.
Just MMS you pay for send NOT receive.

.
bummer, with it being 0.75 pence per kilobyte, a picture taking 30 kilobytes would other cost 22.5 pence compared to the normal 35 pence charged.
i guess it'll work out respectively with what i'm using it for
thanks for clearing that up :fadein:
I made that mistake only once...
I was lazy when I got my 3650 - I e-mailed all my pix and contacts to myself out from my 7650.
Switched the sim to my 3650
Downloaed the e-mail to my 3650.
My bill for this was 66 !!!!!
😞
I got myself 10 meg package after that! 😉

They way i have found around this is use Dial up instead of GPRS with the FTP Program, may be slower, but who cares if its FREE. (Well it comes out of my free mins, which if you are on Freetime 750 is a lot of hours!
I just dial a london number (0201) NOT 0845, and it comes out of my free moments.
oh my god, that is so true, i should connect with YFtp to my ftp at home using wap. my billing date is the twenty eighth and i have 11 hours something left, i dont use them at all, i just text and use gprs.
