Anyone using P800 as a bluetooth modem with Pal/PPC/Laptop ?

Hi all,

I've done a quick search and not found the answer, hopefully someone can help me ?

I'm trying to use my P800 as a GPRS Bluetooth Modem with my Sony Clie TG50. Before anyone asks why do I need both it is primarily becuase the Clie offers native Office support via the excellent Quick Office Pro suite.

I have paired the two devices, they see each other and manage to send data back and forth and even start the dial up process but I only get as far as the "Signing On" message and then a message saying "Incomplete setup"

I am on Orange GPRS in the UK and using the following setup:

GPRS no = *99#

Init string supplied by Orange = +cgdcont=1,"IP","orangeinternet"

Has anyone out there in P800 land sucesfully managed to use their phone as a modem and if so what settings are you using ?

Thanks in advance.

You need to have something in the Username and password boxes. There is NO login for Orange GPRS, but Palm WILL NOT dial without something in there. I suggest username = "a" password = "a".

Well this is how I connected my t68i to my Clie NR70V and they shouldnt be much different. For more info you can also check out www.cliesource.com wireless forums. This is a tutorial I made way back when I still had my NR70V with Bluetooth Memory Stick.
