Processor performance

I been having a look round and the ARM9 seems to be capable of 1.1 MIP per MHz. If its running at 156MHz you get similar performance to a Pentium 100. The core can be clocked to produce twice that performance, i wonder if anyone has any idea if an benchmark or overclocking program was around? If you could control the speed it could play some mean games... video should be improved too.
Imagine the P800 Hotrod, big cooling fan sticking out the back, go faster stripes and fluffy dice background...

😮

The only problem is that the faster the processor, the faster the battery runs out of juice!

Maybe get a Centrino ARM9 processor for the P800?

The arm website says that arm9's run at 200mhz - 250mhz:

here (in the table at the bottom) http://www.arm.com/armtech/ARM922T?OpenDocument

And the key under the table says speed quoted in worst conditions

I ve been working with ARM proccessors since 1987 when the first one came out! ARM9 is just the name of the core. This proccessor is one of the most flexible ones ever existed! You have the core and then you can build whatever you want around it! So you can even have one running at 52MHz as it does on the 7650's implementation! As for power efficiency I can ensure that it the most power efficient proccessor that I know! When Pentium I was needed about 80Watts on a PC ARM3 only needed 0,1watts!

Once we know more about the p800 and what custom stuff SE has put in it OCing might be a good idea... untill then I\d rather play it safe with my $700 toy 😊 (text browser kinda sux.. but at least I can post!)
